| JANUARY 2013 - I woke early on the morning of December 21st, 2012, quite happy to discover that I hadn’t been hurled out in deep space on some small fragment of what was the Earth. As I lay in bed, I looked around the bedroom to make sure nothing had changed and was relieved to see that the condition of the room was still that of a chaotic mess. Quickly putting on clothes, I walked outside and surveyed the neighborhood. Everything looked as it did the night before. I checked on a few other things and found nothing had changed. Yup. I was still overdrawn at the bank and the mortgage was due. | |
